1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Appacadabra ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Appacadabra is an AI-powered tool generator that:

Creates mini-applications (spells) based on your descriptions, using AI models you access via your own OpenRouter API key
Connects to OpenRouter and its downstream model providers (Google, Anthropic, OpenAI, and others) using an API key you supply and control
Stores generated spells locally on your device
Provides integrations with device features (calendar, contacts, etc.)

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Use the app only for lawful purposes
Not generate content that is harmful, illegal, or violates third-party rights
Not attempt to reverse engineer or modify the app
Be responsible for any spells you create and share

4. Content Ownership

Your Content: You retain ownership of descriptions you provide and spells generated for you
Our Technology: We retain all rights to the app's code, design, and infrastructure. The AI models used for generation are operated by third parties (OpenRouter and its provider partners), not by Appacadabra.
Generated Code: Spells generated by the AI are yours to use, modify, and share

5. Your OpenRouter API Key

Appacadabra uses AI models provided by OpenRouter and its upstream model providers. To use AI generation features, you must supply your own OpenRouter API key.

Your key is stored encrypted on your device using the operating system's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore) and is never transmitted to Appacadabra.
All AI generation requests are sent directly from your device to OpenRouter using your key.
You are solely responsible for your OpenRouter account, all charges incurred under your key, and compliance with OpenRouter's terms of service.
Appacadabra is not liable for any charges, overages, or service interruptions caused by your OpenRouter account status, insufficient credit, or key revocation.
If your key is missing, invalid, or out of credit, AI generation features will not work until you update your key in the app settings.

6. Limitation of Liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for:

Accuracy or functionality of generated spells
Loss of data or spells on your device
Third-party integrations or API availability
Any damages arising from use of the app

The public Store lists spells created by other users. These spells are executable JavaScript that runs inside Appacadabra with access to the device capabilities you have granted the app. Appacadabra applies automated structural checks to submitted spells (size limits, script-source allowlist, API-key detection, and publication rate limits) but does not manually review, endorse, or verify the content or behavior of third-party spells. You acknowledge that installing and running any community spell is at your own risk, and that Appacadabra shall not be liable for any damages, data loss, data exfiltration, or harm caused by third-party spells. Appacadabra reserves the right to remove any spell at any time without notice.

7. Privacy

Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the app at any time for violations of these terms.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
